I bought this 2000 mustang GT convertible brand new for my midlife crisis on my 40th birthday. I needed something and always wanted a mustang. After owning and driving this car for 3 months I was driving with my girlfriend on a summer night with the roof down and a young kid with his girl pull up along side of me at a light. I'm laughing to myself because he is reving the little engine in his ugly rice burner (to me anyway). So me being a drag racer at heart, I cant help myself. I have to take the challenge and race him off of the light. First and second gear we where together, then in third he walked away from me. Forth, he was gone. I could not believe what just happened and he was waiting for me to do it again at the next light. That was NOT happening. So, the next day I contacted ATI Procharger for a supercharger for the mustang. I bought a self-contained, 3 core inter-cooled stage-2 supercharger. I installed the unit in a few days, not a few hours as Procharger suggests. Then I did some research to find the best shop to consult with to make this baby really fly since I really wanted to leave the engine stock with stock exhaust. I found Jimmy Larocca of Larocca Performance, in Englishtown, NJ. He checked out the car and programmed the chip accordingly. This was a powerful, yet safe tuneup that made 380 h-p and 400 ft lbs of torque at the rear wheels on his Dyno. Now this car really runs. I sold the car with only 3600 miles on it to a good friend Bobby Paris in the spring of 2003. At 52, Bobbie always wanted a hotrod to drive on the street and now he has one. He is as fussy as I am about keeping this car immaculate and it has yet to see any rain or snow.
